UI Update: New Project Joining Screen

Now when using project invite links, users do not need to sign up or log in first. When the link is used, Stiple Labs will figure out if the user is authenticated. If yes, you will be added to the project and taken to the map view. If no, then the user will be asked if it is their first time on Stiple Labs, and they will be redirected to the login or signup page accordingly.

Quick Preview Before Downloading

Now in the project management view, while downloading the point cloud, users will be shown a quick preview of the point cloud in 3D. This helps in avoiding download of wrong files.

Removed Dynamic Point Budget

After noticing performance degradation, we have removed the dynamic point budget/quality. Now you have control over the quality of the point cloud.

Removed Zoom on Map on Hover

After noticing performance degradation, we have removed the feature where hovering on a card in the map view would zoom to the project location on the map. This action can be triggered using a button now.

Added Warnings While Uploading Point Clouds

Now users can only upload .e57, .las and .laz files as they are the only files supported by our system. A new warning message will be shown while uploading a file stating the effects of exiting the page while uploading.
